This week we harvested the first potatoes of the season from Bed 4. There’s a lucky dip element that makes it exciting .. but you need to go gently and take care not to damage the potatoes as you dig them up.
Our garden planner, Nee, has come up with a clever way of maximising the ground space by planting the potatoes in furrows and using the mounds for a fast crop of lettuce until the soil is needed to build up the potato -growing earth.
